— yong moonshik, 21, nyc.
— currently in his senior year at nyu, working on his bachelor's in studio arts as a painter. currently dying inside as he slaves over his final exhibition. his professors have said that his paintings are reminiscent of the abstract expressionism era and that he's pretty talented.
— grew up as an only child with a dad who didn't really give a shit what he did (not in an unkind way — just an ambivalent way), so he really just ran around the city and its surrounding boroughs when he was a teenager and probably too young to be sneaking into gallery openings and parties and enveloping himself in the whole scene.
— has so much passion for painting, but school seems determined to kill that passion since they require at least 30 hours of studio time per week in addition to some lib arts classes, and he also has to, like, live so he has a part-time job at a coffee shop and it's all just kind of soul-sucking!!!
— a little out there, but that's ok. he just be saying things sometimes. occasionally spacey and/or flaky and genuinely wants to be better about that!!
— either reeks of chemicals from mixing paints in his studio or smells like a warm, cozy latte. there is no middle ground.
— just a funky little guy who dresses in stuff that's avant garde sometimes, rocking an obscene amount of earrings and dyeing his hair all kinds of kooky colors. he's an art school kid. he's pretty gay. what do you expect???
